Ultimately, it doesn’t matter what the political climate is like, what adversities you face, or how many times you fall back down.
There is still hope.
There always will be, as long as we keep at it, do our part and remember to look up.
When you do that, you realize you are still responsible for doing your part to the best of your ability, and for the best reasons despite the turbulent and shifting nature the world sometimes seems to take on.
I think Dory from Finding Nemo says it best.
Remember to “Just Keep Swimming.”
Now, I am not writing to tell you that everything will be okay or that suddenly all doors will swing open and all your questions be answered, but I think the wisdom in this tiny cartoon fish's words will cause you to grow overall if you stick to them.
There are two reasons why staying steady and keeping it going is essential.
While a bit emotional, the first is that you are the only YOU out there, so be the best version of yourself possible.
With that comes the second reason: you are reaching, striving, working, grinding, focused, and walking on the narrow road, which means that sometimes you may come across something you are unfamiliar with or not good at, and you might even fall.
Things won’t go your way, but it won’t end the world.
Remember that at least you're doing something. You're not giving up.
Congratulations on not being good at something but learning and adjusting regardless.
You should be proud of getting back up, trying again, and taking the failure as lessons, hypocritical opinions as aimless chatter, and the adversity as a sharpening stone.
---
If you weren't around, the world wouldn't be the same. You exist for a reason and purpose; therefore, you have to keep swimming until you get where you're going.
If you're not too sure where that is, swim in place for a minute or two—catch your breath—but whatever you do, don't stop; keep going.
Get back up after falling, apologize after a mistake or error, and perhaps even make a few recalculations when the math of life “just ain’t math-ing.’
While the ride is not always that smooth, the destination is so beautiful that it will be completely worth it.
So enjoy the ride and “Just Keep Swimming.”
